The TS RGUKT IIIT Admission 2023 is a unique opportunity for Telangana students who have completed their 10th class to pursue a six-year integrated B.Tech program in IIIT Basara Campus.

This B.Tech program in IIIT Basara campus is designed to provide quality education to students from rural and underprivileged areas of Telangana State.

The program is divided into two phases, the first two years of which are focused on a foundation course, and the remaining four years are dedicated to specialized courses in computer science and engineering.

The TS IIIT admission process is highly competitive and rigorous. Only students who meet the eligibility criteria and pass the 10th class board exam are selected for the program on 10th GPA.

IIIT Basara Admissions Selection Process

IIIT Basara Admissions (RGUKT Basara Admission) in Telangana State will be based on merit in the 10th class Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject, and by following the statutory reservations of the State.

A deprivation score of 0.4 shall be added to the 10th class GPA of applicants from non-residential Government Schools including the ZP, Municipal, KV, Telangana Model Schools and KGBV Schools for selection, with an objective of providing weightage to help the students from socially, economically deprived sections of the society for admissions.

If there is a tie between 10.20 grade (considering a combined score of 0.40 for those studying in public schools), then the grade in mathematics will be considered in the tenth grade. Next, you are admitted to Science, English, Social Sciences, Telugu, Birth Date and Low Random Number.

a) In case of a tie in GPA score

In case of a tie in 10th class Grade Point Average GPA score (TIE Between 10.20 Grade Students), it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that sequence:

• Higher grade in Mathematics,
• Higher grade in General Science, iii. Higher grade in English,
• Higher grade in Social Studies,
• Higher grade in 1st Language,
• The older candidate as per the Date of Birth,
• The lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number.

If the tie is resolved with any of the check-in the chronological order mentioned above, the next option(s) will not be checked.

b) Considering the date of birth for BASARA IIIT Admissions 2023-2024

If the grade is equal in the 10th class, then the date of birth is taken into account. If they are older, they can beat them. If the age is equal, the random number is entered by a special formula from the ten-hall ticket number.

c) The procedure of resolving by random number is as follows:

The procedure of resolving by random number is as follows: For SSC, NIOS & OSSC applicants. The random number will be obtained as the reminder of {253 x [first 5 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 5 digits of the hall ticket number}

For example, from the hall ticket no.1219121028, the first five digits viz., 12191 and the last five digits viz., 21028 will be considered for this purpose. The reminder is 14235. For CBSE & ICSE applicants. The Hall ticket consists seven digits. Hence, the random number will be obtained as the reminder of {253 x [first 3 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 4 digits of the hall ticket number}.

For example, from the hall ticket no.4112605, the first three digits viz., 411 and the last four digits viz., 2605 will be considered for this purpose. The reminder is 2388.

d) Seats Reserved for Telangana Students

Basara IIIT Campus in Telangana admissions will be according to 371 85% of seats are reserved for Telangana students only and rest of 15% are for open category both AP and Telangana states students can have the choice for admissions according to the merit list.

e) For other States and International Students:

Supernumerary seats to the extent of 5% are available to students belonging to States other than Andhra Pradesh & Telangana State including the children of Indians working in Gulf Countries / International and NRI students.

Admission will be on the basis of merit in the marks/grades obtained in 10th standard examination. Those candidates who got a minimum of 70% of marks alone are eligible for admissions.

The tuition fee for students from other states and children of Indians working in Gulf Countries is Rs.1,36,000/- per annum. The tuition fee for International / NRI students is Rs.3,00,000/- per annum.

Applicants from the States other than Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, children of Indians working in Gulf Countries, International and NRI students seeking admission at RGUKT shall apply through RGUKT website only. A separate link is provided for the purpose at the institute website.

f) No Entrance Exam for this year 2023

Previous year, a Common Entrance Test was conducted for this Basara IIIT admission stream. Now this year no entrance examination will not be conducted for this year. Only students will be selected through merit in 10th class or 10th Class GPA.
